
Mobile Diesel Technician
Key Responsibilities
-
Respond to road service calls for heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and air system issues in the field
-
Perform on-site repairs including brakes, wheel seals, air lines, cooling systems, and minor engine repairs
-
Replace and repair commercial truck and heavy equipment tires (including oversized and off-road tires)
-
Operate service trucks and, when required, assist with boom truck operations for large equipment tire replacements
-
Conduct emergency roadside repairs safely and efficiently
-
Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding job status and repair needs
-
Accurately document diagnostics, parts used, labor performed, and customer signatures
-
Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and equipment in clean and organized condition
-
Follow all safety procedures, DOT regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
2+ years of heavy-duty diesel technician experience preferred
-
Experience with commercial trucks, trailers, and/or construction equipment
-
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
-
Ability to pass background and driving record checks
-
Experience operating service trucks; boom truck experience preferred

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

Ability to work independently in field conditions

Mechanical aptitude with heavy-duty diesel systems

Ability to safely lift and handle heavy components and tires

Strong time management and ability to prioritize emergency calls

Clear communication and professional customer interaction

Comfortable working in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions
